Inaugural Barney Barnhill Memorial Race & Fireworks Show to Honor Track Co-Founder and Launch the Southern Raceway Hall of Fame
This Labor Day weekend Southern Raceway will honor one of its founders with a huge two-day celebration of racing, remembrance, and family fun during the inaugural Barney Barnhill Memorial Race & Fireworks Show on Saturday, Sept. 5 and Sunday, Sept. 6. The weekend will also establish the Southern Raceway Hall of Fame, with Barney Barnhill inducted as its first and only member during the inaugural year.

POWRi 410 Sprint Cars to Make Historic Southern Raceway Debut During 2027 Gulf Coast Winter Nationals
Southern Raceway is set to make history during the 2027 Gulf Coast Winter Nationals as the POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League visits the Milton, Florida, facility for the first time on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27, 2027. The landmark event will cap an unprecedented stretch of sprint car racing on the Gulf Coast, following Southern Raceway's annual USCS Winter Heat Series on Feb. 19-20.

SCDRA Set for Gulf Coast Winter Nationals at Southern Raceway
SCDRA presented by Schaeffer's Oil officials announced the Inaugural SCDRA Gulf Coast Winter Nationals set for January 22-23, 2027 at Hunt the Front's Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida. The 40 lap main event will pay $5,000 to win and $200 to start on Saturday.

Stock Car Week Is Coming to Winter Nationals โ CRUSA Street Stocks to Headline
The next piece of the 2027 Gulf Coast Winter Nationals schedule at Southern Raceway is officially set. The Crate Racin' USA Street Stock Division will headline Stock Car Week January 28-30, with extra-money racing for Factory Stocks and Pure Stocks also on the program in a weekend dedicated to stock car racing.

Southern Raceway is set to host the biggest event in its history in 2027. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series announced Tuesday that Hunt the Front's Southern Raceway will be part of the national tour's 2027 Speedweeks schedule, bringing the nation's premier Dirt Late Model series to the Florida Panhandle for the first time.
