CRUSA Late Models Return Feb. 5-6 as Winter Shootout Series Joins Gulf Coast Winter Nationals

MILTON, Fla. (Sept. 15, 2026) — The Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Winter Shootout Series is coming to the 2027 Gulf Coast Winter Nationals, as the CRUSA Dirt Late Models headline Southern Raceway on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 5-6.

The Inaugural Gulf Coast Winter Nationals for the CRUSA Dirt Late Models will mark the Winter Shootout Series' first visit to the track since 2024, when Colton Leyendecker scored the victory in the tour's only previous appearance at Southern Raceway. Friday's preliminary feature pays $1,500 to win, with a $5,000-to-win finale Saturday night. Both nights will air live on Hunt the Front TV.

The weekend is part of the 12th annual Winter Shootout Series, a five-weekend winter swing through Alabama and Florida that begins with the 36th Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track in January and concludes with the series' first-ever visit to All-Tech Raceway in late February, with more than $40,000 in advertised winner's purses available throughout the series.

The Feb. 5-6 weekend lands in the heart of the Gulf Coast Winter Nationals, Southern Raceway's seven-week winter showcase spanning late January through early March — and it serves as the perfect warmup for the Super Late Model action on deck the following week.

On Thursday, Feb. 11, the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series opens the biggest weekend in track history, before the World of Outlaws Late Model Series makes its first-ever visit to the Florida Panhandle Feb. 12-13, capped by a $20,000-to-win finale on Saturday night.

It's all part of a Winter Nationals lineup built for race fans and racers looking to escape the cold, with the Fried Bologna 150 Enduro and the SCDRA Sport Compacts kicking things off Jan. 22-23, CRUSA Street Stock Week Jan. 28-30, back-to-back weekends of winged sprint car racing when the USCS Winter Heat Series rolls in Feb. 19-20 and the POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint League makes its historic Southern Raceway debut Feb. 26-27, and the Clash on the Coast presented by IMCA.tv closing out the seven-week stretch Mar. 4-6.

Seven straight weekends of premier dirt track racing on the Gulf Coast. Additional details and event information will be released as the weekends approach. Stay up to date at HTFSouthernRaceway.com and by following Southern Raceway on social media.
